Think that you can hold your beer?  Belvidere’s Oktoberfest begins next week!!  Masskrugstemmen — which literally means “beer-stein holding”. This is a series of Oktoberfest events where you can test your ability to see how long you can literally hold your beer. If you think you’re strong enough to hold out a beer-stein or just want to watch then this event is for you. The first event will be held on Tuesday 9/28 at 9pm, event 2 will be held on Thursday 9/30 at 9pm, and the grand finale will be held on Sunday 10/3 (Event 3) at 1:00PM. Winners from the first two events are guaranteed a reserved seat in the grand finale competition. Festivities will of course continue beyond 10pm.
