Myanmar Impressions - photography by Khanh Duong is now on Display for the month of December. Last night we spoke with Khanh about this large collection of photography. The images have lasting stories and there is an intense preciseness to the timing and intent of each photo. In one image he captures a surreal setting where hot air ballons are launched in the distance. The planning behind all shoots are intense and the works present a surreal atmosphere. There is a generous story behind the image (shown in this post) of a child with the lotus flower. In other shots the artist waited for hours to stage and capture the right images of people, lights, and action to create unreal relationships between nature, people, and light. Each work is worth the individual attention and review. The artist will be onsite on Wednesday 12/2 during happy hour (~5:30pm) to answer questions, have fun, and meet some new folks. He is then off on another 2 month trip to create more works. This is a collection by a very dynamic individual that put months of effort into each photo adventure. A once an a time opportunity to meet a great artist.
